A.L.S.A.A. 'A' clinched the Dublin Club Championship beating Roadstone 'A' 3-1 in the final. 12 teams took part in the tournament which was jointly hosted by the Roadstone and Spawell snooker clubs. The 1st round consisted of 3 groups of 4 teams, with each team handicapped according to the division they compete in.

Group 1 was an extremely tight group which saw each match keenly contested, all matches being drawn until Division 2's Howth CYMS beat Premier League's Spawell 'B' 3-1 in a very tight match to qualify. Premier League's A.L.S.A.A. 'A' qualified by beating Howth 3-1 and Division 1's Roadstone 'C' also qualified having drawn all three of their matches.

Group 2 was dominated by Roadstone which saw Roadstone 'A' come through winning all three of their matches. Roadstone 'B' beat Spawell 'C' from Division 1 3-1 and fellow Premier League team A.L.S.A.A. 'B' 3-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Group 3 was the only group not to contain any Premier League teams which offered a great chance for lower division teams to qualify. Spawell 'D' qualified by winning two of their three matches, and they were joined by Roadstone 'D' (Division 2) and Roadstone 'E' (Division 1) in the quarter-finals.

The quarter-finals saw all five Roadstone teams competing but only saw one come through with Roadstone 'A' beating Roadstone 'E'. Spawell 'D' knocked out Roadstone 'C' 3-1 while D.A.B.S.C 'A' accounted for Roadstone 'B' 3-1. Howth CYMS continued their good run by beating Roadstone 'D' in a play-off with Jim O'Neill from Howth beating Mick Grogan from Roadstone 'D' in a tense final frame after the match score ended 2-2.

The semi-finals saw Premier League versus lower division opposition and the Premier League won through with A.L.S.A.A. 'A' winning in a play-off after the match ended 2-2. Robert Redmond was the hero as he knocked in a brilliant 73 break after being 41 behind in the play-off frame. The other semi-final saw Roadstone 'A' beat Howth CYMS 3-1 to end the Division 2 league leaders good run.

The final was a late affair which only started at 9:45pm and A.L.S.A.A. 'A' triumphed 3-1 with George O'Hara beating Noel Blake, Philip Browne getting the better of Paul Smith and Robert Redmond winning over George Tierney. Stephen Merrigan won for Roadstone 'A' against James Flaherty. A big thanks to both Roadstone and Spawell snooker clubs for providing a great day's play.
